You may choose to bring in some equipment to your bootcamp workouts. The best way to incorporate equipment would be to divide the bootcamp into smaller groups and create different circuits. This way you will only need enough equipment for 1/4 of your classes instead of every member.

You can use exercise balls, skipping ropes, kettlebells, exercise bands, or other things you can find around your home.

Tabata’s

Tabata’s are like interval training. These are spurts of high intensity exercise followed by low intensity or a rest period. Do an exercise for 20 seconds and then take a 10 second break and repeat this for the desired amount of sets. These short burst tabata’s are great for fat loss. You can do these with almost any exercise.

Timed Exercise Circuits

Set up different circuits with 2-3 exercises in each circuit. Split up your group into the different circuits and they can work on them for 5 minutes. Once they are done they can move to the next circuit. This works great for everyone cause they can work at their own pace. This works good if you have equipment as well.

Challenge Workouts

Rep Challenge: Set specified number of reps for each exercise in a circuit and see who can complete 3 circuits the fastest.

Exercise Challenge: Pick a specific exercise and see who can do the exercise the longest (most reps).

Themed Workouts

Each week or month you can have a themed workout. This is good for throwing something different at your bootcampers or getting them excited about a workout. Tell them ahead of time and you will get a good turnout. Some different themes may be around sports such as soccer, football, hockey, baseball, olympics or any other sport. Create your workout with bootcamp exercises that would help for any one that is playing this sport.

Bootcamp Games

Add some fun to the exercise by having a games workout to end the session. You can play follow the leader and have someone lead the bootcamp for a few minutes. Switch it up who gets to lead each time. They will get excited and thinking about what they would do if they were leading.

Partner Exercises

Partner shadow drills are a fun exercise. Pair everyone up in partners. Space the partners about 15 feet apart. One of the partners will be moving forward, backwards and side to side with different exercises and the other partner has to follow them. Switch up who is leading every 30 sec to 1 minute.
